Welcome to Prokopton Systems, the campsite of Michel “Mike” Blomgren — a systems-thinking early trailblazer of DevOps and back-end developer with over two decades of experience in application operations, infrastructure, IT security, IP networks, and continuous deployment.

I have a wide area of concern, ranging from the softer aspects of organizational culture where I attempt to inspire to aspire for the qualities of the generative Learning Organization, to the practical aspects of software supply chain management with Lean, Theory Of Constraints and Continuous Architecture as my main philosophies. Tools to help move in this direction include Systems Mapping (e.g. Causal Loop Diagrams), Value Stream Mapping, Critical Chain, Threat Modeling, After-Action Review, and Pre-Mortem. TOC and Kanban are my preferred process improvement methods.

On the technical side of things, I’m a single-language, but keen Go developer with a few automation, microservices, CLIs and reverse proxy projects under my belt so far. Other non-client projects can be found as open-source projects on GitHub.

I’m an amateur radio operator (ham radio operator) with callsign SA6MWA and have also been a radio operator in the Swedish Armed Forces. Although paused at the moment, I have a podcast in Swedish called QZJ and a YouTube channel called Utesändaren.
